NaTyshia Smith, LMSW, DSW

Candidate- Strategic Planner, is a strategic program developer and psychotherapist for the Al Mu'Minun Health and Wellness program, bringing a wealth of expertise in crafting inclusive therapy modalities for underserved populations. With a background as a Polish and Afro Indigenous from Kwikwetlem First Nation Aboriginal Peoples; Sis. NaTyshia deeply understands the cultural trauma and intergenerational impacts faced by marginalized communities. Ms. Smith is a passionate advocate for Indigenous Rights and racial equity, challenging the limitations of Westernized, “one-size-fits-all” approaches to health and wellness. Through her work with the Health and Wellness program, Sis. NaTyshia is dedicated to designing personalized, culturally informed solutions that honor the unique needs of individuals within the Islamic community, while ensuring the success and longevity of these vital community initiatives.
